The fashion course offered at your university really interests me as the wide variety of area’s explored reflect what I am passionate about, areas such as; merchandising, retail, fashion photography, styling and designing are amongst some of my favourites, and I believe this course will help me to achieve my full potential. My outgoing personality and distinctive opinions are reflected in my work and undertaking this course will help me to further develop my individual style. My current work is a range of designs and research into different projects, and the variety of processes used to look into ways to create my ideas. If I was given the opportunity to pursue the assignments for a longer period of time I would thrive off creating a design and developing a piece that embodies what I'm trying to communicate I enjoy doing this as I love being able to extend and develop my designs fully. I enjoy working with both resistant and non resistant materials creating both functional and non functional pieces. Furthermore I enjoy working from an original concept as I feel this gives more meaning to my work. I would love to be part of this industry to have the opportunity to learn exactly what it involves. I adore the work of Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen their work is so controversial and inspiring. I try to incorporate this into my work by developing ideas that are personal and individual to me. I’m a determined individual and have high ambitions for the future. I believe designing for a large company or being able to style models would be a perfect career for me as I have a key eye for design, colour and trends and finally believe that fashion is very important and will always be around us.
